This year, FUMC will host the second annual Music and Worship Arts Camp June 10th – 14th. This camp will be for rising 1st – 7th graders and will take place from 8:00 a.m. – Noon.

We will be celebrating our high school graduates on Sunday, May 19th.

The Dyer County United Methodist Parish is hosting their first “Parish in the Park” this Saturday, April 27, from 12-3 pm at Okeena Park in Dyersburg.

For the Maundy Thursday service, please park in the Troy Avenue parking lot and use the stairs at the corner of the lot to enter the Vesper Area (by the FLC).

Our Koinonia Class is raising funds to dig a well in Tanzania. Women in most villages walk 5 miles or more each day to get a bucket of water, which is often not clean water. Our class will be having a bake sale (pies, cakes, casseroles, breads, etc.) on May 5th, the Sunday before Mother’s Day.

On Easter morning the Flowering Cross will bloom with flowers. Please bring fresh cut flowers or fresh cut bouquets from the store on Sunday, April 21, for the Flowering Cross. 

 Dinner For Eight is returning for the summer! Family, fun, food, faith, and fellowship – what could be better than combining all of these? Join us for the Summer Session of Small Groups which will meet once a month in May, June, July and August. Sign-ups starting soon. Be watching for more details!

Mission Blitz 2019 will be on Saturday, May 4

Have you heard about the special called General Conference happening next month in St. Louis? If not, you probably will hear about it soon and probably will hear many different things about it. Join us for a special presentation by our pastors during the Sunday School hour on the first two Sundays in February. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall, beginning promptly at 9:00.

The youth will make a trip to Sky Zone on February 18th. We will leave from the church at 1 p.m. and return at 6 p.m.

Thursday Bible Study will be at 10:00 a.m. instead of 8:30 a.m. as listed on the website calendar.

Methodist Monday Meals Quarterly Meeting is January 7, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in the conference room. 

The Diabetic Support Group that meets in the conference room will resume meeting on the first Tuesday of every month beginning February 5, 2019. 

We will have a potluck breakfast the morning of Sunday, December 16, at 8:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

Our Plum Pudding Party in the Fellowship Hall will follow the Children’s Program.

The Sojourners’ class will have a sausage and biscuit sale this Sunday, December 9, before and after Sunday School in the upstairs foyer by the fountain. Please come to church hungry and join us!

Dyersburg Choral Society will present its annual Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 6, at 7:30 p.m.

Before Hurricane Florence struck the Carolinas, our UMCOR warehouses were largely stocked with supplies. However, as we all know, since then, Hurricane Michael has caused extensive devastation in Florida and Georgia. According to Rev. Robert Craig, Disaster Response Coordinator, our warehouses are now depleted. Items needed immediately include

YOUTH FALL RETREAT FYRNE LAKE OCTOBER 26 - 28. Letters and Information have been sent with students as well as emailed out!

For several years, the downtown merchants have opened their doors to trick or treaters on Halloween evening beginning at 5:30. The 31st lands on a Wednesday this year so we are joining in this tradition by having activities on our upper parking lot.

There will be no Children’s Ministry or UMYF Sunday, September 30th.
