Good Morning, I’m Scott Self and I am coming before you this morning on behalf of the Finance Committee.
My family has been a part of this church for 20 years. Because neither Deana nor I have parents in TN, this church has become our family. When preparing to speak to you, I came to the realization that with all families, sometimes we just have to have difficult discussions. This is one of those times.
About a year and a half ago, we as a committee began to see a bothersome trend in that our sole source of income, the tithing dollars that we receive on a weekly basis from the congregation, was beginning to decline. Because of this, several actions were taken to adjust our expenses so we could continue to operate in a financially responsible manner.Read more ...
Katherine Rowe, a missionary serving in Africa will be at church on Sunday, February 23, 2020. She will be available during the Sunday School hour in the Chapel to share her experiences as well as explain her mission work in Africa.Read more ...
The Over 50 Club will meet on Thursday, February 13 for lunch and fellowship in the Fellowship Hall. A $5 donation is suggested.
The Lifeline Bloodmobile has a new permanent home. It will be at First United Methodist Church on third Thursdays. It will be parked by the Troy entrance on the upper parking lot. You can give blood on the third Thursday of each month from 12 Noon - 6 p.m.
