The Way of Love
As we approach Valentine’s Day I thought it would be fitting to look at what the Bible says about love. Love is required of us if we are to live in the image of Jesus. Our actions are without merit in the eyes of God without love. Our faith will make no impact without love. Love is the reason God sent Jesus to die on the cross; love is the reason Jesus endured the cross, and love is the reason we are to show people the way to the cross.
“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.” 1 Cor. 13:1-3
This week as we approach Valentine’s Day, may we focus on the importance of love and the impact our actions have when done in love.
Have a blessed week, Brian, Mary, Brylee, Holland Funderburk
