A New Miracle
“The miraculous sign at Cana in Galilee was the first time Jesus revealed his glory. And his disciples believed in Him.” John 2:11
We experience the first of so many miracles Jesus performed here in John 2. I believe the most intriguing part of this story is the circumstances that surround this miracle. This is Jesus’ first attempt to prove to His disciples that He is who He says He is. Jesus chose to turn water into wine, not heal the blind or deaf, not raise someone from the dead, not to cast out demons, but to turn water into wine! Why?

There are probably many reasons here that we look over or do not yet understand but a couple that I believe we can apply to our lives are: 1. Jesus valued spending time with people and meeting needs that sometimes are not life altering but important. 2. Jesus shows us in a real way that some needs can only be met by Him. 3. We are to trust Jesus to meet every need. Our questions to ponder this week are, what has Jesus done in your life that strengthened your faith or caused you to believe? How can we take what Jesus has done for us and share it with someone new?

Have a blessed week, Brian, Mary, Brylee, Holland Funderburk
