Sacrifice

“This is My commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends...... This is my command: Love each other.”

John 15:13-14,17

As we remember this week the events that took place on September 11th 2001, let us thank God for those who laid down their lives for complete strangers. May we thank God and pray for the families that were forever changed as they lost loved ones that day. As we remember the tragic events that unfolded let us not forget the ultimate form of sacrifice that was given to us 2,000 years ago when Jesus paid the ultimate price for our salvation. This week thank a first responder, shake a police officer’s hand, hug a veteran or an active service member, help a stranger, and give God the glory for our hope that we have in Christ.

May you and your families have a blessed week, Brian, Mary, Brylee, Holland Funderburk
