Happy Easter! (Remember, good Methodists, it is still Easter for us!) We have moved from the glorious day of the Resurrection into the season of Eastertide. Soon, we will celebrate the Day of Pentecost(!) and will enter into one of the longest seasons of the year, Ordinary Time/Kingdomtide. I pray that you had a holy Lent.

There were many opportunities for you to worship throughout the Lenten Season, particularly Holy Week. Hopefully you were able to pray the Stations of the Cross. This moving time of prayer during Holy Week was transformative for me. We are an Easter people; we proclaim that Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia! May we journey through the season of Eastertide with joy and expectation as we look to our risen LORD and raise our songs of praise.

Join me on Sunday Evenings at 5 p.m. in the Chapel for a service of Evening Prayer. For hundreds of years, Christians have gathered at set times of the day to pray and worship together. For the season of Eastertide, we are using the Liturgy for Evening Prayer. This is a wonderful time for prayer, meditation, and reflection at the close of the day. I encourage you to attend this service. May you have a blessed Eastertide. We’ll see you at church.

Grace and Peace, Dakota
