And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him may have eternal life. John 3:14-15

The Israelites through their disobedience, found themselves at the mercy of God. In the book of Numbers, the people were unhappy with their condition and rebelled against Moses and God. This disobedience was met with God’s punishment, but also with God’s grace and mercy. In the third chapter of the book of John, we see where God meets our need for mercy and grace with the gift of salvation. Just as the Israelites and those that were hearing this message of salvation in John’s gospel, we are given an opportunity today to decide where our focus will be. Will we focus on our sin, our mistakes, our trials, or will we focus on the One who is far greater than any problem we will encounter?

May you and your families have a blessed week! Brian, Mary, Brylee Funderburk
