A couple Sundays ago, I hope you heard Pastor Ed talk about Jesus' conversation with His disciples. In that conversation, Jesus asked two very important and thought-provoking questions, the first being “Who do they say that I am?” And the second, "Who do you say that I am? "
Have you ever considered this question? Our initial response as Christians would be something like Savior, Redeemer, Son of God, etc. If we answer like Peter, “Jesus, you are the Christ,” then do our actions resemble our response? In the movie God's Not Dead 2, while on trial for her faith, the school teacher whose name is Grace, is asked to give her answer to this question. Grace boldly states, “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”
Of course, we all know this is a movie, but it gets me to thinking about how I answer this question each and every day, and how well my answer aligns with the way I live. In the movie, Grace explained that by answering this question one night as she was walking home, she began a relationship with Jesus. You see, by honestly answering "Who do you say I am," you are actually saying this is what I believe about Jesus.
Live a life that speaks for itself, love Jesus, love others, and let God work through you!
Have a great week and may God bless you and yours, Mr. Brian
