Dear Dyersburg FUMC Family,
Christ is Risen!
I am so grateful to have been able to celebrate my first in-person Easter with this beloved congregation! When I walked into the Sanctuary Sunday morning I just had to stop and take it all in. And when I left after the third service I had to stop and spend a minute by myself at the Flowering Cross just to say thank you to Jesus for such a beautiful morning and for the miracle of salvation.

I am so excited to celebrate Confirmation this Sunday, April 11! We will be welcoming Evan Thompson and Lizzie Henry into professing membership in our congregation at the 10:00 am service. What a wonderful way to continue celebrating this glorious Easter season! I hope that you will make plans to worship with us and celebrate these two young people and their commitment to Christ and to the church. And don’t forget that we will be ending April on an outreach note as we participate in our Mini Mission Blitz on April 24. Our Mission Team is working to make this a wonderful day of service and fellowship, and I am so thrilled to be part of this work with you!

I pray that you will keep in your heart the invitation that I shared on Easter Sunday to intentionally live your resurrection story with and among the disciples at Dyersburg FUMC. The last year has made it easy to get out of the habit of living intentionally with our faith community, but there is no better time to create new habits of worship, study, prayer, and service with the members of this church than right now. Prioritize worship. Prioritize fellowship. Be present. Share your life with your church. Be faithful to those whom God has placed in your life.
In sure and certain hope of resurrection!
Mary Beth
