United Methodist Camp & Retreat Center
The heart and soul of a place like Lakeshore is the gathering of people for rest, renewal, friendship, and worship, but this year, gathering has been impossible. The staff at Lakeshore can’t wait to see everyone again when it is safe, but in the meantime, they need our help to keep the lights on!
Lakeshore is ending the year with a projected 35% of their intended income, but the fixed expenses are still $50,000 a month, even with no guests--and that’s after budget cuts and staff reductions. That’s where church friends and supporters can help!
There are many ways we all can get involved and help support this ministry:
Join the brand new 4 Square Club with your gift of $1,000 or more. Learn more at lakeshorecamp.org/4square.
Make a monthly gift at lakeshorecamp.org/donate and become part of the growing Cabin 17 program with special swag and content from Gary and Allison.
Submit a gift matching form to your company.
Create a Facebook fundraiser for your birthday.
Participate in the Color Cup Challenge and make a donation to Lakeshore. Contribute to our communion rail offering in support of Lakeshore.
As a congregation, we have supported Lakeshore for years by offering a scholarship to the children of our members and will do so again this year.
Lakeshore relies on the time, talent and treasure of friends to fulfill this amazing ministry. They need our help now more than ever.
Because we are pre-recording this coming Sunday’s worship service, we will not have a missions speaker at worship until January 17 when we will be back to in-person worship. If you are accustomed to giving online, you can make a contribution to Lakeshore that way or you can give in person on the 17th.
