Dear Dyersburg FUMC Family,

I want to offer many thanks to our Discipleship Team and their hard work in creating multiple new opportunities for our church family to connect with one another even in this time of physical distancing. It is an act of courage and faith to try new things when we have no precedent to refer to, and I am so grateful that this group of disciples is working so faithfully to offer ways for our whole church—really our whole community—to remain bound together even as we navigate new waters. I encourage you with all of my heart to take advantage of one of these news ways of connecting with each other, and to offer your thanks to this team for creating these opportunities.

I also want to remind you of some of our “old” ways of connecting (isn’t it funny that things we had never even thought of eight weeks ago are now our “go to” options!), including drive-in worship, which we are planning to hold on both Sunday, May 24 and Sunday, May 31. Those plans are completely weather-dependent, and we will let you know by 5:00pm on Saturday, May 23 and Saturday, May 30 whether we will be worshiping in the parking lot or via livestream from the chapel. We continue to offer devotions each weekday at noon via Facebook Live, and a short service of prayer and song on Wednesday evenings at 8:00pm, also via Facebook Live.

Rev. Will Clark is graciously offering a Zoom-based Bible Study beginning this week on Thursday at both 12:15pm and 6:30pm. You can text/call him at 731-616-5107 or email him at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to get the information for signing in to that study.

I pray that you are healthy and well, that you are checking in with your church family, that you are listening to God’s leading in your life through the Holy Spirit, and that you are inviting Jesus to guide you each day.

Please let us know if there is any way we can serve you!

Praying with you and for you, Mary Beth
