Rev. Dr. Mary Beth Bernheisel
Rev. Dr. Mary Beth Bernheisel is a native of Nashville, TN who returned to her home state after attending DePauw University in Greencastle, IN where she earned a Bachelor of Music, and Boston University School of Theology where she earned her Master of Divinity. She also worked in community-based mental health in both Lancaster, CA and Chicago, IL before finally moving to Jackson where her husband, Jay, is Professor of Engineering at Union University.
Mary Beth has had the privilege of serving on staff at Grace United Methodist Church in Jackson, as an Associate Pastor of Jackson First United Methodist Church, and as the Pastor of Medina First United Methodist Church. She received her Doctor of Ministry in Ministry to Emerging Generations at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, MA. She serves as the Vice-Chair of the Memphis Conference Board of Ordained Ministry and the Residency in Ministry Coordinator for the Memphis Annual Conference.
Mary Beth and Jay have two children, Joshua and Clare. In her free time she loves reading, running, cooking, traveling, and trying to keep up with her family!
