For several years, the downtown merchants have opened their doors to trick or treaters on Halloween evening beginning at 5:30. The 31st lands on a Wednesday this year so we are joining in this tradition by having activities on our upper parking lot.

Our activities will include trunk or treating, a dunking booth, carnival style games, inflatable fun, hot dogs, etc. We will need folks to help run the games so get in touch with Patti Lou Parker (285-4794) to help. Dakota Hill is in charge of the trunk or treat. We are not planning a lot of “trunks” because of the other activities but call Dakota at the church (285-6454) if you would like to decorate a trunk.

When the Evangelism team heard about the Downtown Trick or Treat, they wanted to have a treat for the adults. It was decided that we would give families the ingredients for a spaghetti dinner (a package of dry spaghetti, a can of spaghetti sauce, and a box of crackers) that they could take home and cook. We are expecting a large crowd, so we will need a lot of bags. Therefore, we are asking you to prepare a plastic bag or two or more with the food items, and we will add church info. Bags can be dropped off in the second room to the right in the Family Life Center from 7:30 am until 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm until 6:30 pm Monday through Thursday and 7:30 am until noon on Fridays.
