As we continue in what the church calls Ordinary Time, or Kingdomtide, during the coming weeks, you may notice the addition of the color red along with green.

As we talked about, green is used during Ordinary Time to represent a time of growth in faith. Red symbolizes the color of fire to represent the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost and is used at times when the work of the Holy Spirit is emphasized. Red paraments will be added in the coming weeks to add beauty to our services and to remind us that the presence of the Holy Spirit continues with us during “Ordinary Time” and always.
