A youth room devotion: Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1 - 2

In this race called life there are bumps in the road, blind curves, and sometimes dark tunnels that seem endless. These obstacles can either end your race or make the finish line that much more rewarding. Jesus never promised that our race would be easy or without any hiccups, but He did promise to endure to the end of the race with us. We will make mistakes and sometimes make the same mistakes more than once, but take joy in knowing that you and your race isn’t defined by those mistakes, only in how you finish.

A note from Brian, Mary, and Brylee Church Family, thank you for being so welcoming, loving, and genuine from our very first day here at First United Methodist Church. We are excited about this ministry opportunity God has provided for us here. We look forward to meeting each of you and working, loving on, and serving your students. May God continue to bless each of you and our church.
